Webkit-GTK svn ebuild

I have been very interested in Webkit ever since the GTK port was announced. It seems like a good fit for integration with Gnome applications like Epiphany and Evolution. Right now I'm using it in Evolution-RSS and Midori, a Webkit-GTK browser. There are a couple of svn snapshot ebuilds in portage but I find myself constantly creating new snapshot ebuilds to test out the latest Webkit-GTK along with the svn ebuild of Midori. So in a similar fashion to my sK1 svn ebuild I decided to create a Webkit-GTK svn ebuild. Be forewarned that the checkout process takes a very long time. Based on my genlop output the checkout process alone took 40 minutes and compilation took another 20 minutes.

/usr/local/portage/net-libs/webkit-gtk-9999.ebuild

hi well done and wb. i hope u found a new better job in that time.

i will test all these new and updated ebuilds. i hope u r often online in the next time and there r more news here.

what about a life git ebuild for DOLT? I guess libtool 2.x and DOLT seems to be in coming great combination to speed up the emerge procedure. But it sucks realy noone can write a simple ebuild for it.I already google and seaching for it in the gentoo.org foren.

so i hold this blog alive by anoying u with my "wishlist" XD. c it as a challenge and a demand to u to working on this side.

greeting A.D.

The webkit-gtk ebuild does use DOLT. DOLT isn't a package perse. It's just a macro that can be included in any package. If you look at the webkit-gtk source there is a directory called "autotools" that contains all the macros including dolt.m4. You should see "checking if dolt supports this host... yes, replacing libtool" when webkit-gtk is configuring.
